In November 2019, it was announced that Donne sold a young adult thriller, The Ivies, at auction, to be published in summer of 2021 by Crown, an imprint of Penguin Random House. Spurned by Leo in the past, Elliot is now wealthy, powerful, and determined to make Leo's life miserable. However, everything changes when her first love, Elliot, once deemed unsuitable for marriage, returns. Pitched as Persuasion meets The Bachelor, The Stars We Steal follows eighteen-year-old Princess Leonie 'Leo' Kolburg, heir to a fading European ship, as she navigates the Valg Season, where bachelors will vie for her hand and save her family from financial ruin. Wishing to escape the Stalwart, Stella is hired on as a governess on the private ship, the Rochester, captained by the young and handsome Hugo Fairfax, who has a secret that could threaten the safety of the entire fleet.

Pitched as Jane Eyre in space, Brightly Burning follows seventeen-year-old engineer Stella Ainsley, who lives on the Stalwart, one of the oldest and poorest ships in the fleet. Both novels are set in the far future, when humanity has fled Earth due to an Ice Age and now live in orbit on spaceships. Career ĭonne's debut novel, Brightly Burning, was released in 2018 and was followed by a companion novel, The Stars We Steal, published in February 2020. She currently lives in Los Angeles, California and works in international television marketing.
